I prefer a Ruby Port, but as it happens I don’t have an open bottle and the last bottle I opened was consumed so sparingly that it went bad in the fridge before I finished it. Went well with beef tips in the krockpot though ...

Saw the post below and had to come back and see what the meant.

A friend made this absolutely delicious stew today with wine, parsnips and what the hell to do I know. But, was it ever good. No tomatoes, which cut back on the acid.

It was similar to a stew by 21 Club in New York.
