It's like what they say about the Seventies: if you remember what happened you weren't really there.

It's getting to be like I can't even remember what they said about the Sixties...

The U.S. has ONE president.

Bet you weren't saying that when Bush was president - it was all "Not MY President" then. I didn't vote for Obama but he is the President of the United States and therefore my president, if not my choice.

If the thread poster was foreclosed, how is he posting on the Internet?

Probably from the library, behind which he has his cardboard box home...

Getting ready to read, knowing that PJ could probably even find Ramen Noodles at a cheaper price than anyone else could.

Not as cheap as TGIF dinner snacks when they are sold BOGO (Buy One Get One free) at the store. Then, using my coupons, I get them FREE. I eat free for a couple of weeks after that happens. Mostly Buffalo wings but also quesadillas. The only downside is that when that chow runs out, it feels like a bummer to actually have to PAY for food again. I really need a floor freezer to vastly extend the amount of free eats.

Since 11/25/08, when I first voiced my "concerns" about the Geithner appointment and got flamed for it here on DU, I have said that we the people were being ignored, and they the bankers were getting all the "attention."

Attention in this case is the liberal codeword meaning FREE SH*T.

I have been a conservative for more than 20 years and have finally figured out what drives every one of these people. Mainly that they all have one universal, overriding belief that bonds them all together. This is that the government's purpose is to give them things. THATS ALL! It is not always a direct monetary gift as in the case of say, college professors or union leadership, but help in continuing and expanding their privileged positions.

I came to this epiphany watching the Spector Philly townhall video on Youtube awhile back and reading the Lib's comments there. The liberals on the Youtube video above expressed bewilderment about how government healthcare can possibly be opposed by anyone. Comments like, "You people are acting against your own self interest." As in, the feds want to give you something, how can you not take it? They just can't understand why we are leery about all this. They cannot grasp the concept that nothing is really free. Some of the lefty posters reasoned that the angry people at the meeting were paid by the insurance companies to disrupt the proceedings and were doing this simply to protect their profits. Others named specific rightwing PAC’s who were there in force with paid operatives trained to trip up the speakers and sow havoc, Lol. (I wonder how much they paid and why I was never notified of this gig.) In the liberal mind there can be no other explanation for this outrage. They actually believe this stuff and justify it in their minds.

The desire for government largess is also the reason they can easily overlook the Dem's criminal activity and outright contradictions. This used to drive me crazy when debating liberals and applying logic to no effect. They just don't care. What matters is what is in it for them.

"..ou know, the *people* people of the United States?"

And then he gets elected and the first thing he does is bends over bends over the people people for a litle rape rape. Even Whoopi Whoopi might admit that.

"fried bologna sandwich"

WOW! Does that bring back memories. I bet I haven't had a fried bologna sandwhich in 30 years.

We used to make them at a buddy of mines house and heat up some chili to put between 2 pieces of fried bologna too. You had to eat that one standing over the sink.

This guy is John Morgan a disturbing candidate for the Florida House of Representatives, District 82, Tequesta. AKA "the Ramen man". Listed as "thunder rising", "jnmorgan", and now "John N Morgan" on democratic underground. He even posted how he lost his thread as "jnmorgan" and changed to "thunder rising" due to his radical behavior. Imagine being so bizarre left that they kick you off that site? Look at his posts under his aliases. They are ridiculous. Just a snapshot range from insulting Babtists(he couldn't spell Baptist), Catholics, and encouraging foreclosed homeowners to destroy the house and take the kitchen sink. If this guy gets elected, the Florida House of Representatives could be missing their kitchen sink!
