Although they will be vastly overshadowed–and rightly so–by the amazing turnout in Washington, D.C., several localities also hosted Tea Parties to coincide with the March on the Capitol. I was fortunate enough to attend the event in Roswell, GA.

I enjoyed the pictures. I have a question - this says Roswell, GA. You have the Alamo on your blog. One of the pictures shows a quilt from Hideaway, TX. Where are you from, and was this GA or TX?

I was there!

On top of that, I was able to listen to a black man WITHOUT a teleprompter, namely Herman Cain, a WSB radio talk show host who also ran for U.S. Senate.

Herman Cain is a great American and would make the U.S. a fine president.

Sorry for the confusion... I live in Georgia. I chose the name The Constitutional Alamo for my blog because, at the time I established the site, I saw conservatism as being in a similar position as those patriots in the old mission—surrounded by an enemy, holding out until reinforcements arrived.

Reinforcements didn’t arrive for Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and their men, but conservatives have the opportunity to win our version of the scenario with the reinforcements from the previously apathetic majority. Politics in the 21st century has become cutthroat warfare, and I attempt to provide intelligence and analysis to help the hard-working conservative learn more about the conflict.

So that’s a very long explanation to say, no, I don’t live in Texas. But if things continue as they are, I may be moving there in the near future. :)

Thanks for your reply. It was the quilt that said Hideaway, TX that really made me wonder. The pictures looked more like GA than TX.

I was a little curious about the Texas quilt, too. I didn’t get a chance to ask the family that displayed it if they were from Texas and, if so, what they were doing in Georgia :)
