It is hard for me to write this piece, I must confess.

I like President Obama, personally. He seems to epitomize the American Dream. A man of eloquence and education and personal challenge and family ordeal. A man who has ostensibly moved above his past and who once braved a future with what appeared to be a moderate realism and political pragmatism for which our American citizens were hungry. I fully admit that there was once hope from this author for what Barack Obama promised on the campaign trail of 2008.

Of course, those days are long gone.

In the aftermath of idealistic consensus, the American people have been shown a much darker side of the ideal which they once thought promising. And it is shocking in trying to understand what Barack Obama really stands for after only eight months in office.
