Yesterday at my shul, the speaker was exhorting the faithful to show up for the demonstration on September 24 (supposedly) against Ahmadinejad. (My own view is that such gatherings tend to honor the guy, and that it would be better if no one noticed that he was here.) Ahmadinejad doesn't pay any heed to demonstrators in his own country. He certainly isn't going to be influenced by any in ours; beyond swelling his head
So there was all of the usual stuff about what a bad guy he is and the speaker even mentioned his association with another bad guy, Chavez. The one word never uttered during the talk was "Obama." It is as if the speaker hasn't noticed that Obama is more comfortable with Ahmadinejad and Chavez than he is with Netanyahu. Only Netanyahu is belligerent and uncooperative.
No. I won't be showing up to honor Ahmadinejad on the 24th. He isn't the enemy we need most be concerned about.
