Suicidal politicians have always interested me. There are many of them and they just seem to go over the edge one day.

Of course we have every right to fire you, Sen. McCaskill! Thank you for realizing this.
And that we shall do!

Too bad she’s not up for reelection until 2012. I like the sentiment though.

Or, Missouri could have kept the senator they had, who would have been on the right side of this issue, among others.

Economist Milton Friedman: "Senator, socialism hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history," explained Friedman. "Why won't you give up on it?"
Ted Kennedy replied: "It hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didn't have me to run it."

You can just about count on it, Claire.

You have every right to fire me...Thanks for your permission, Clair. However we don't need it. You would be well advised to minimize the damage your foolishness does the country between now and 2012. The electorate is furious at Washington and getting more irritated by the day.

At Massa's (D NY29)townhall last night, someone asked, "how can (or why should) we trust you...". His response was at one point he said "you shouldn't trust me, you don't have to trust me, I'm not asking you to trust me..."
many cheers and applause...
