I was banned a few months ago (Sourdough) for daring to disagree with CJ’s views on Glenn Beck and a few other topics. When I promised to kneel and cross myself while uttering the phrase “jazz musician” it was over.
Well, veered him toward a libertarian outlook at least. he never much cared for the “right” when it came to social issues.
I did like the site though. I can’t remember the exact day I stopped reading there, but it’s a shame because it used to be on the best out there. I wonder if this shift back to the Left has rewarded him at all in site hits or profits? Certainly haven’t noticed it’s brought him better buzz than he had a couple years ago.
Men with ponytails generally are not that bright.
I was banned as a dangerous conservative (I suppose.) Never did find out why. But yes, LGF was a daily read for me, even after my posting privileges were revoked for truth-telling. I now go back every few weeks, but CJ has become a scion of the left. Too bad.

I happen not to be a creationist, or a Euro fascist, or a mainstream conservative either (I consider myself to be a "small-L libertarian"), so it's not my ox that's being gored, but nevertheless I have lately been avoiding the site because it has lost its interest and relevance...
I'm going to remove it from my browser's "quick links" menu to reclaim the space for something more worthy of the spot...
CJ, like Peggy Noonan and Michael Smerconish (among others), has found out that trashing conservatives gets you a lot of face time on TV.
Gates of Vienna expressed support for Wilders and their right party, which is very nationalistic, sort of like a "denmark for Danes" which surfaced when the cartoons came out. GoV's position is generally against any form of islam which is used to destroy european cultural and national identity. LGF called GoV a nazi racist... and that's when I felt that honest thinking was shuttering it's windows in that blog.
Shame... to think that he actually had a hand in the uncovering of Dan Rather's National Guard fraud...

Online 28 years, and the sole site that ever banned yers trooly is... guess who?
For associating with another site that was formed at The Crazy Guy's behest at LGF to "take that Katrina stuff elsewhere."
Yep, guilt by association, no warning, no refund of money I sent the creep when he claimed he was hurting.
If you really want it, I can give you exhaustive links, quotes, and essays by others who were wrongly or arbitrarily banned.
Let's just say he once did useful work, but no more.
I expect he'll endorse Duh!1 next election.
I guess I was just a bit slow -- I didn't drop them until last week.
Was a very early reader of LGF and occasional commenter, late 2001 and early 2002. Loved the site for several years. Just drifted away as the purges escalated and their current brand of political correctness began to set in around 2006. Still a registered member, but only drop by now and then to observe the group behavior.
On the forged “memo” it was a Freeper 1st

No need to bother with the effort. LGF is dying without anybody's assistance. LGF's site analytics profile has it just having 74K unique visitors, down from 194K in January. FR has over 15 times the traffic of LGF. Mentioning LGF here just means more traffic for them.
I found this thread by doing a google search. I was just in the process of making new RSS feeds to my website and I went to Litte Green Footballs to add them as well as several others only to see posts railing against the right wing and another accusing the “anti-choice” crowd of applauding Tiller’s death?!
Wasn’t this a conservative blog? What the heck happened to this guy? Did someone spike his drink with the liberal koolaid or something?
Wasn’t this the blog that did the original investigation into the fake Bush documents on CBS that eventually led to Dan Rather’s resignation?
Wow.
Oh well... looks like it’s into the recyling bin with LGF...
