The big question for President Barack Obama right now isn't about health care, but his own political survival.
If he fails to deliver health legislation, Obama will prove right those who said he was in over his head. That would make him something of a lame duck after only seven months in office.

A good point made in this piece—should Hussein fail to shove his plan down the throats of voters, he will lose respect, authority and power. If he succeeds, he will have—yep—shoved unwanted government intervention down the throats of voters. Neither is a very good option. But one thing the writer doesn’t take into account—Hussein doesn’t CARE about how voters view ANYTHING. He wants power over the peons and serfs. Everything else, from forcing new laws on the public to getting re-elected, will be handled by his media lackeys and thug supporters. Hussein ain’t interested in being loved—just feared.
Even more appealing would be to see his wife Chewbacca and her mother have to leave out the back door.
That's no longer a hypothetical.
He is in over his head (see Peter Principle).
He's on the run, looking for a distraction now.
He let slip out the loose talk on population control through "end of life" counseling
and people found that very creepy.
It's just basic math now: when a president seems creepy his numbers go down.

We’ve got a lot of work to do to keep Americans awake and aware about what is going on in the White House and Congress.
This bill is far from defeated and any version passing will be hailed as a victory by the media and democrats. America must tell them “no” in no uncertain terms and hold them to it.
Getting seniors to cancel their AARP memberships is a good start. Continue spreading the word about all the OTHER things in this bill that are troubling. Pick 5 real facts about this bill to illustrate that point and talk to everyone you know about them. Be prepared to cite page and line. Don’t exaggerate; what’s in there is scary enough! Donate your money only to actual conservative individuals, wherever they are, rather than to parties or organizations.

At a local town hall event, they found a woman with a severely disabled son to say “The insurance company won't pay for his medicine!” Which is probably true. But neither will the nationalized health care. They would have tried to convince her to kill her son before he was born.
“...this is war...it is the war of the Democrats against the Baby Boom...who have paid into and now are poised to reap the “benefits” of Social Security and Medicare...it is the war of those who created these fraudulent programs ...which have fleeced 45 years of taxes from the Baby Boom..and never intended to grant them the “benefits” they were conned into allowing to be withheld from their paychecks. It is a personal war...because by hastening them to their graves...they intend to fleece their descendants of their estates.”
It all comes down to whether the opposition can get organized and present good candidates.
