Has there ever been a case on FR where someone posted something like this and anything actually came of it?

My guess is that it is Michael Jackson related.
Angry mobs. Thriller. Halloween. Stuff like that.

It happened once, but I missed it because I was in the shower.

Not exactly the same, but Buckhead did post on a "Live" thread, that the documents CBS posted on their website regarding George Bush's National Guard service were fraudulent.
It was the "60 Minutes" thread covering Dan Rather's interview with Bill Burkett and others over the documents. I was on that thread that night. It was awesome.

Has there ever been a case on FR where someone posted something like this and anything actually came of it? There was the case of Matt Drudge hyping some big earth-shattering story all week, saying that on "Thursday" he's going to break something big. Then, on "Thursday" morning, someone from FR figured out Drudge's filename convention and posted a link to Drudge's story before he "turned it on," so to speak, breaking it here hours before Drudge did.
That story was the Jesse Jackson Love Baby story.

Has there ever been a case on FR where someone posted something like this and anything actually came of it? In a word: No. But some of the replies are fun.
