Bundle it all together out of context and call it done?
On the compromise issue (in context), the other side has said to put people into internment camps. Do you support doing that or should we ‘compromise’ and find something else?
On the illegal immigration laws issue, yes, this country has had laws on immigration but the vast majority of its history has been one of open arms and welcoming people to settle the country. Including Texas, btw, which was settled by a load of people outside of the US. Can we also be polite and say that a lot of early Texans were GASP!!! illegal immigrants!?!?
I never compared the founders to illegals. I compared them to immigrants.
On the breaking law issue (in context), it had to do with moral absolutism.
Finally, I want to see you, and others, stand up and say you want to put millions of people in internment camps. Let’s rally around having all of these ‘criminals’ (women and children included) behind barbed-wire.
When did I say anything about internment camps? I am not in favor of holding people that didnt break a law... where do you get that from? I said to deport the illegal aliens. Where do get internment camps out of that?
You bring up tax laws, traffic laws, and DWI laws, and warn me not to demand that federal immigration law not be enforced because I may have broken some traffic law at some time. You compare British Colonialists to illegal aliens. You make wild statements like that and then accuse me of wanting internment camps? Women and children behind barbed wire? Get a grip.
Enforce the immigration laws... its a simple statement.
