To be open and honest, last summer I wasn't sure that Barack H. Obama was born in the United States, I felt that then candidate Obama was perpetuating the controversy by not telling Hawaii to show everyone their official birth certificate. A lot has happened since then, including Hawaii releasing the COLB, not the long form original birth certificate because that is against Hawaii law but a COLB never the less...Here's the point, besides the fact that Obama has proven to be American born many times over, if I was President Obama and there was no birther movement, I would invent one. It destroys the credibility of anyone who talks about it. To moderates and many conservatives, the birther movement is the Republican equivalent of those calling the 2000 election stolen years after the election was over--either way its a bit crazy.
Most importantly, it takes attention from the real arguments, Cap and Trade, Socialized Medicine, etc. For those of you who don't believe that Obama is American born, look at it this way, you are not going to win. Just like the lugnuts who were counting chads in 2002 weren't going to win. Besides if the whole Obama not being an American thing was true, Joe Biden would have slipped it out months ago.
Listen,I understand your love of the constitution, but the our founding fathers would be much better served by fighting for the Second Amendment. The only one served by the Birther movement is Barack Hussein Obama, because it gives him and his cronies the opportunity to dismiss the entire lot of us.
Birthers wake up, the time for you to let it go passed a long time ago. Barack Obama may not be our kind of American, but he is an American never-the-less:

You know what the most upsetting thing about this is? Most of us aren’t even accusing him of ANYTHING. It’s a simple request to see a simple document.
But the controversy really should be his inability to provide the document, not our reaction to it. And that’s the narrative the msm is spreading and a lot of people on the right (I’m looking at you, NRO, Coulter, etc) are buying into it.
Conservatives sold out our fiscal principles over the last 8 years, and it’s been hell trying to get those back. Let’s not sell out our legal principles now.

I don’t just want the birth certificate either. I think that is a usual alinky deflection to get us sniffing on just one thing. I believe that the other records, the social security numbers (39 different ones), the school registrations, the millions that ushered him along, how he lied on applications.
I think he likely was born in Indonesia but they are trying to use smoke and mirrors to get us off the path.

This is sort of right. Imagine if the Liberals made a big and claimed Bush lacked the mental capacity to be President and therefore should be removed from office back in 2001 and overturn the will of the electorate? We’d call them sore losers.
Now, that is a silly analogy, but the left is eating this up right now that we are sore losers and are looking to overturn a democratic election. Of course they eat this up.
