Here is ESPN video with highlights from Round 2 of The British Open Golf Championship (overseas they call it The Open Championship) where the big story is 59 year-old Tom Watson is tied for the lead after two rounds at -5 under par.
Watson began the day one shot behind at -5, and quickly made birdie on the 1st hole at Turnberry, Scotland. But he then bogeyed five of his next seven holes, including four straight. He stood at -1 on the 9th hole, and appeared to be on his way out of contention. But he made birdie there, sank another birdie putt on the 11th and then sank two "field goal" putts as Watson said his Dad used to call them, on the 16th and the 18th. It was pure magic! Waston finished the day where he started at -5, good enough to be tied for the lead with Steve Marino.
Watson becomes the oldest man to lead at the end of any round of a Major Championship at 59 years 316 days. Watson is a five-time winner of the British Open, including 1977 at Turnberry.
The other big story is that Tiger Woods went the other direction, missing only the second Major Championship cut of his career. . . . (Watch Video Highlights)

Watched Watson today. For a 59-year old man to do what he is doing, with an artificial hip to boot, is little short of remarkable. I’d love to see him win.
As a Golf fan, I like Tiger, he has brought a lot of popularity and money to the sport, however sometimes he takes to much of the limelight. It is nice to see an older legend succeed and get some coverage. It would be a great story if he could win. It would be made into a movie no doubt.
The only thing better would be if he was tied with Nicklaus.
Yup. Tommy Boy, reach down deeper than you ever thought you could reach. Make history.
Go Tom!
Did any of you see the birdie putt Watson made on the 18th to grab a share of the lead?
Must have been at least 50 feet! Watson sunk it and then gave a nice leg kick. I want him or John Daly to win it.
Go John!
If Tom Watson wins I’d imagine Jack would be the second happiest man in the world.
Ya think?..Woods is a poor sport..I am so glad he missed the cut.
If Watson wins, I don’t care what happens the rest of the year, it will be the biggest sports moment for this year, and the biggest in a long time.
