Actually, no, they didn’t. Margaret Thatcher was well educated, politically savvy, hard as nails, serious, well spoken, and extremely knowledgeable. No, no one said she couldn’t handle the job. Plenty said she couldn't handle the job. Just not enough to stop her election.

Does anyone else remember when it was the Right that was about "elitism" (ie excellence) and standards, and the Left was the bastion of retarded populism?
Anybody who believes in the "will of the common people" in a country where 50% have IQs lower than 100, and where religious and racial diversity mitigate against massification anyway is NOT a rightist/conservative by any means.
