You need to read what anniegetyourgun said... Until everyone realizes that all the things they put their faith in (parties, savings, education, jobs, houses, etc.) are unworthy, well not get to the point where we realize that there is only One Who is faithful. In fact, He goes by Faithful and True. I agree with her.
While we're at it, I agree also with post #21:
How to Stimulate the Economy
* Drill Here, Drill Now, Drill Everywhere
* Commit to clean coal for the next 20 years
* Continue to encourage development of green technology, but stop stupidly shoveling government money at itits just not there yet
* Build 50 nuclear power plant
* Build 20 new Navy ships
* Build 100 new Military planes
* Pay private contractors to fix the nations highways, bridges, and other infrastructureDont funnel the money through 14 bureaucracies to do it

Youre wrong ... salty pretzels dipped in peanut butter are downright awesome, especially in the dead of winter when they can be enjoyed while wearing angora blend socks. It dont get better than that. OK, now you've got me pining for winter. ;-)

‘Say what you want about President Obama, but he’s never been accused of having a “wide stance,” chasing after male pages, or cheating on his wife.’ Neither was Hitler.

well, to quote from one of my favorite spaghetti westerns, God hates idiots.
To: Allegra
I’ve never heard anyone pining for winter before...

Thanks a lot for touching one of my sore points that has been festering for sometime. While I am not against prayer just think how much further ahead the Reps would be if even if just the FReepers that pray for 0 got up and went out and told 5 people a week about the GOOD things the Reps have done and are trying to do. Just spend half of the time you do praying on working for the cause - even if it is Conservative values not GOP. The Dems spend WAAAYYYYY more time spreading the word than the Reps or Conservatives do. I get two or three a month or more wanting to sign me up for some Dems cause. In nine years at the same address only ONE Rep candidate.

God is not a member of any political party or a citizen of any country. Despite what people may think, God is not an American. God does hate sin wherever it is found, but he also works through sinful human beings and nations. People are called upon to be faithful, not successful (from the world’s point of view). It is impossible to determine the invisible from the visible, that is God’s will by appearances. A Christian lives by faith, not by sight. God’s will will be done with or without us.

As cool as the other side of the pillow, Homes. That's Holmes. Your self-described coolness is still in question.

I'm just asking a rhetorical question. I am tired of politicians invoking God just to reel in the believers. That too is taking his name in vain.

George Bush destroyed capitalism in order to save it...
Obama is spending money in order to make us more prosperous...
Sarah Palin is quitting or order to???
From Baghdad, I would expect one to contemplate the fate of an unquestioning true believer. I've seen the results in many different countries, including Iraq, and it should give any thinking person pause.

Soft pretzels are da bomb, though. Especially dripped in butter with a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top.
