Palin put her family first above everything else.
Way to go, Sarah.

How about her statement that frivolous accusations had cost Alaskan tax payers $2 million dollars and consumed most of her time and her staff’s time? That she considered it unfair to Alaska to waste their time and money? Are her straightforward words too much to believe?

There was content there, I agree. It was just muddied by the "protecting Trig" rhetoric. It's one or the other. The message was mixed, and it will be repeated as a mixed message over and over and over again.

Why is it one or the other? She has a duty to her family as well as the state of Alaska and the attacks on her were compromising both. Explain to me why it cannot be a compilation of all factors.

I disagree about Palin running in 2012. Politics are about seizing an opportunity at the right time. Obama’s favorable rating poll numbers aren't so good, the economic crisis is going from bad to worse, unemployment numbers going higher, cap and trade, universal health care, and on and on. If our country is more in the toilet than what it is now, how could you even think that Obama has it in the bag for 2012? In my opinion Palin can see the handwriting on the wall and is jumping in to give our country a much needed rescue and lead this country by her true conservative beliefs and not some PC version just to pander to a particular group or buy a vote.

The people of Alaska voted for her, campaigned for her, gave their money to her, and trusted her to govern.
She quit halfway through her first term, thereby letting them down.
Before anyone flames me, please note that all I have done is state undeniable facts.

If Sarah wasnt a defeatist she wouldnt have resigned.
No way were going to support a quitter. You've been waiting a long time to be activated.
I'm impressed!
By the way, who is "we?"
You, Obama and Bawny Fwank?
Or do you have a mouse in your pocket?

Before anyone flames me, please note that all I have done is state undeniable facts. I'm not flaming, I'm just laughing about your four-word editorial.
Which is it genius?
Fact or opinion?
Is English your first language?

She resigned because she felt her constituents deserve a full-time governor. Her opponent is missing work to campaign.
To: counterpunch
Most conservatives think that Palin would have done a lot better without McCain.

You sarcastically call me genius, then claim you are not flaming me.
Then you claim I used four words in my “editorial.”
To answer your idiotic and irrelevant question, yes, English is my first language.
Do you have anything intelligent to say? Would you care to make a rational argument against anything I said in my post?
Or do you have nothing but rude and infantile responses.
I seriously doubt you would have the courage to be as rude to people face to face as you have cowering at your keyboard behind your lame screenname.
To: Do Not Make Fun Of His Ears
And if part of her governance is protecting the improvements she’s made by removing herself and her state as a target of lawsuits that are frivolous and meant to tie up her time and her states money?
And allowing her to better serve her state and nation by going to a national level?
She’s not leaving Alaska floundering - she did much good and is leaving it with another conservative to defend it against the tide of libs bent on destroying it.
And unless I miss my guess, she’s also about ready to start going big after the libs on a national level.
That speech wasn’t a speech of someone ready to quit - It was someone who has had enough and is getting geared up for war.
And before you flame me, please note that your entire post is incorrectly based on the “thereby letting them down” part.
She sacrificed a cushy job for the greater good.
If you cant see that, perhaps you should refrain from typing until you get a better perspective.
