You should be distressed--VERY distressed--concerning the imminent vote on the ominous cap-and-trade energy tax bill in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill, if approved, will result in untold suffering on the part of the citizenry. And we will have no one else to blame but the environmental extremists such as Al Gore, Henry Waxman, Nancy Pelosi, and of course, Barack Obama.
Of the top stupid things you could do doing a recession, this tops them all. Of course this is dumb even during good times, but during a recession it is completely idiotic.
We also have ourselves to blame for being stupid and ignorant enough to not only elect but continually re-elect these snorting pigs. Sorry to say it, but we get the government that we deserve, shoulda been smarter and much less blind.
I called my congressman to thank him. He’s voting no.
The Democrats are not stupid. This bill is designed to put money in the pockets of a specific constituency at the expense of another whom they deem “the enemy.” It is also designed to control the energy industry in much the same way as they are doing to the finance and auto industries.
