Fact: If everyone ignored him, he would go away.

The problem is that about half of the people in this country are as vile as Letterman is.He has an audience no matter what happens.

Exactly. Someone is pissed that Gonad OBrien is sucking up all the publicity. That’s all this is- an over-the-hill aging performer who can no longer make people laugh, but still needs the eyeballs count if he is to feed his enormous crack addiction-like need for attention.

Let it go. Letterman is a washed up has-been who in this episode reveals himself to be so far beneath his mentor and idol Johnny Carson that it borders on the pathetic.

There's one powerful force working against that: Conan O'Brien is still doing the immature crap that he was doing in the 12:30 slot. Letterman doesn't have Jay to fight any more.

"Fact: If everyone ignored him, he would go away."

I understand your point, but I don't think it's factually accurate. People have been ignoring Letterman for almost 15 years, but that doesn't keep CBS from paying him over $30 million a year to peddle his garbage.

The people who own, manage and make up the "creative workforce" for the big broadcast networks look at corporate profitability as a secondary concern to hawking their political ideology. If they cared so much about making money, as is frequently used as an excuse about why there isn't a bias in media or movies, then we would have seen more faith-based films like Passion of the Christ, which has earned almost $400 million since it's release.

And yet, we get treated to anti-war/anti-traditional values film after anti-war/anti-traditional values film regardless how horribly they all bomb at the box office.

You kidding? We bought a giant flat TV a couple years ago, and it's like brand new except for the dust on it. It's gets probably 2 hours per month use, with an *antenna*.

I regret buying the damn thing. I'm convinced, television is for the easily led, bloated idiots, with nothing to do.

It broadcast mostly government propaganda, and it's filled with leftist and communist that really hate this country. I was paying cable to watch commercials, queers, leftist and deviates...lol...How stupid is that?

If I could get my money back, I'd do it in a second. The next best thing was telling the cable company to shove their cable and all their non-English stations they expected me to pay for, while charging me to watch their stinking commercials.

Anyone remember years ago these criminals telling everyone cable would be commercial free? What a lie!

It was one of the biggest frauds ever. They finally got all the dummies to pay to watch their commercials that are already paid for...lol...
