The Fault of BUSH? (Car Alarm Remote Failure)

I live about a mile from our former President George Bush. Ever since he moved into the "neighborhood" car alarm remotes in my complex and around the area randomly stop working. Luckily I don't have an alarm that cuts the engine. I have to drive with the alarm blaring another mile just to use the remote to kill the alarm. At 6 in the morning it's not uncommon now to hear car alarms go off all over the place as people try to start their cars.

My roommate started to have the same problem also. I've seen as well a couple of people at the local 7/11 and Krogers down the street trying to start their cars with their remotes with no success. The batteries are new and everyone is logged in.

I was told in a phone call to a local dealership that the frequency used by many older car alarm remotes is also used by the DOD, police and perhaps the Secret Service and can interfere with the transmission of the codes from the remote to the alarm box in the car. The guy said he's seen this happen alot.
Anybody else have or have had this problem with car alarm remotes? Is Bush to blame???

Sounds like an RF shield has been placed in the area? It disrupts radio signals to prevent remote detonation of explosives? Just talking "Bond" style security stuff outloud. not an expert, don't play one on tv and don't have any inside info.

What about your cell phone? Any problems?

Or tv tuners, etc.? A lot of car alarms operate around 433.9 MHZ IIRC, wonder if someone smarter can make a connection to anything?

Nothing, no problems on the cell...or wireless internet. Just the remote on the car alarm. Changed batteries, nothing. It’s not too far out of way to speculate that it might be some type of RF inference in the area. Police, fire or SS could be sweeping the area.

Google “cell phone jammers”. Military and police use them. Various ranges. Unlawful for others

Just called Frys Alarm Installers and they have had it happen. They said it was probably police jamming a particular FR. They say it happens in parking lots around police stations and fire stations sometimes.
