If only BO would throw her under a bus, figuratively speaking.
Oh, he will. I’m not sure why, though. Supposedly, Hoyer is a good friend of Rahm Emmanuel and has long had animosity towards Pelosi (who supported Murtha in some context in which Hoyer felt the support should have gone to him). So possibly this is just personal and Pelosi was judged not loyal enough to the Bambi cabal.
Possibly, however, it’s because Emmanuel doesn’t think she’d be effective at moving their plans along - I think she had her own rival health plan at some point, for example - or possibly it’s simply because there’s somebody else they want for Speaker.
Then again, it could be to distract attention from Obama’s own flip-flops on these matters.
The possibilities are endless.
