I’m thinking it might be more along the lines of a very ‘uncivil’ conflict....! And frankly, I’m more than ready, as I’m sure many are across the country. The system-wide corruption in all our ‘checks and balances’ institutions is so extreme right now, we are left with no other choice. And our Founders would be disappointed in us if we didn’t exercise, uh, our certain Amendment rights to counter this tyranny.

Maybe your statement, "I'm more than ready" is an indication of preparedness, because I am in no way eager for such a conflict, since it could turn out to be horrifying, and I am in an area that would not exactly be favorable for the survival of me or my family.

However, that I am thinking more and more along these lines is shown by an email I just sent to a friend this morning:

"We are concerned that this nation, and, indeed, the entire world, are headed for some major league turmoil. I am trying to come up with a way to network with other believers in this area in case communications become broken down. This could happen if Iran or N. Korea launched an EMP device. (In case you do not know what this is, I refer you to John Hagee's book, Jerusalem Countdown, pp. 63 & 64). There are many indications that the Iranians are working on such a weapon and would not hesitate to use it. We could be reduced to the status of a 3rd World nation almost instantaneously.

There is another scenario of concern, i.e., a civil war in Mexico that could lead to a takeover there of a regime ala that of "El Hugo Loco" of Venezuela, the "crackpot of Caracas." We could be flooded with illegal immigrants literally by the millions, again, with an attedant breakdown of law, order, and communications.

Then there are earthquakes and other terror events that could disrupt things for a shorter period of time.

So I propose that concerned Christians get together and have regular meetings where we discuss the aforementioned and come up with strategies that would give us an edge in time of trouble. Isn't it obvious our government is not only incompetent to deal with major turmoil, but that its current show of weakness may actually make such turmoil inevitable?

Anyway, we'll be praying for you. Let us know if you are interested in this plan.

In Christ our Lord,

I did not mention a possible civil conflict in the scenarios listed in my email, but I think it is, nonetheless, prudent to develope such networks in any case, with aternate means of communication (older types of CB radios, for example) pre-arranged gathering places, stockpiles of essentials, etc.
