I love this clip. Al Gore does a great Al Gore impersonation, as he gets all huffy when asked by Congresswoman Blackburn about how much he expects to make off the cap-and-trade global warming scheme that Obama's busy pushing through. I particularly like how he huffs and puffs into the microphone so we all know just how offended he is by the fact that ANYONE would dare question his motives in supporting regulation that essentially pays off all of his investments in one big swoop.
"It's not about greed," Al Gore says. And we can tell by how outraged he is that that's the truth.

Can anyone explain in normal terms what the cap and trade thing consists of, please?
It reminded me of his performance in the presidential debates.
Well, we see old Al is still rolling his eyes and sighing loudly, affronted that anyone should have the nerve to challenge his god-like pronouncements. He’s just as charming as ever.
Sounds simple, huh?
The rub is that the emissions level is set so low that you can not meet the standard with out paying some one for your excessive emissions. In essence - a tax.
Energy industries are given a certain amount of CO2 that they can omit. If they go over that amount, they must by CO2 credits. This creates a new commodity that can be traded like stocks, gold, etc, where the rich get very rich, and the average American picks up the tab in higher energy prices.
When will the other show drop on this line of questioning?
BTW- Congresswoman Blackburn is a fine looking Southern woman.

This might be more interesting if the radio program didn’t play at the same time.
It says to turn the volumn down, but I can’t find how to do that. I think it is klunky.
As I under stand it, industry emits carbons. A standard is set. If you emit more and some one emits less, you can buy credits so the two of you do not exceed the maximum emissions. And vice versa if you emit less.
Sounds simple, huh?

Another rub is that it doesnt clean up a damned thing. It just taxes you for being dirty. A tax that will be stolen mostly by the third party that runs the scam.
Ah, but democrat voters and liberals in general love to believe in ponzi schemes don’tchaknow.
No doubt he gets a tax break from whatever donations he has made.
He may very well be double-benefitting. He's making money and getting a tax break at the same time.
About Alliance for Climate Protection
There's a link at the website for "employment opportunities" so apparently at least some people associated with this outfit receives a paycheck.
I just wonder if Weird Algore is one of the employees.
Create a fake crisis and scam and cash in. A lot of this is brought to you buy venture capitalist scum on Sand Hill Road in SillyCon Valley. They scammed the public in 1999 with the dot bomb scam.
FYI to everyone. the cap & trade exchange is in - Chicago! Right next to the other pirates at the CBOE (options) and the CME (commodities).
I would bet almost anything that the CBOE helped O in the financial terrorism of October 2008 with futures and options to destroy financial companies.
So I'm halfway to proving myself right. Weird Algore is at least benefitting by receiving a tax break for his donation. Now the question is, is he taking a salary as Chairman of the Board of The Alliance for Climate Protection. This might prover harder to substantiate.
From the website:
The Alliance for Climate Protection is a 501(c)3 organization and contributions made to the Alliance are tax deductible.
Thank you for the info. For some reason, that doesn’t surprise me!
