Southern Poverty Law Center Tries to Cash in on DHS Report
Capital Research Center ^ | April 16, 2009 | Matthew Vadum

The serial exaggerators at the radical left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center are trying to capitalize on the Department of Homeland Security report that smears Americans on the political right.

That odious report quotes from the SPLC, which I've argued is ideologically motivated and unreliable.

Here is the fundraising email the SPLC sent out today:

Southern Poverty Law Center
April 16, 2009

Dear Friend,

As you may recall, we've recently documented 926 hate groups operating in the U.S. These organizations are being fueled by immigration fears, the faltering economy and the racist backlash to the election of President Obama.

Now, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has just issued a new alert warning of the dangers posed by these hate groups. It says that "white supremacist lone wolves" and "small terrorist cells embracing violent rightwing extremist ideology" are currently the most significant domestic terrorism threat.

With your help, we're fighting these groups every day by tracking and exposing their activities. We're also training law enforcement officers and making sure they have the latest and best intelligence on these dangerous extremists.

And we've warned the Pentagon about extremists who have infiltrated the armed services. No one, of course, can forget the deadly toll of the Oklahoma City bombing by Gulf War veteran Timothy McVeigh.

Please help us continue our critical work and counter this mounting threat by sending a special gift today. We'll keep you posted on further developments. And remember to stand strong against hate whenever and wherever you see it.

Morris messed up when he hired a pedophile to “investigate stuff”. His estate on the Left is vastly reduced on account of that.

I heard that he bought his stepdaughter an electric dildo, and offered to show her how to use it.

Don't know about that, but Morris problems with the pedophile investigator occurred just about the time Free Republic got set up (as I recall).

Seriously, people couldn't believe the peds could be so open ~ and the truth was that before the internet came along, they couldn't.

That it happened at all I credit to Morris lack of judgment ~ guy's a total whack job who lucked out once in a law suit.

I was very active in the Bo Gritz movement, we made Morris’ list big time! I consider it one of my finer efforts, LOL!

I recall Bo. BTW, I actually knew Lon Horiuchi when he was a kid, also his dad. They'd adopted him.

Bo and Lon ended up on opposite sides interestingly enough.

I also know someone who worked for Morris as a photographer for a while.

Real small world.

Last time I took the oath of allegiance I was standing in front of Bo. Funny thing, I went to a meeting up in Jacksonville, had my 2 year old grandson on my shoulder. He was really shy then, but I walked up to Bo and said,"good to see you again, sir", and Gerry stuck out his little hand to shake Bo's hand. I said, "this is what it's all about, sir", Bo and I both got watery eyes.

He is a fine man, no matter what mistakes he's made. I'd follow him into Hell!
