The resurgence of traditional Christian mores and culture that began in the late 1970s has ended.

That’s what the left wants people to believe. They’ll have a rude awakening one of these days. Hopefully sooner than later.
They been outvoted and outmaneuvered, since the “culture” has left them behind...
Since Obama has mentioned that we are no longer a Christian nation, I have posted this here, on Free Republic, several times that the election of Obama is Gods judgment upon this nation...
A quote from a website (just general information...)

Abington Township School District v. Schempp decided on June 17, 1963 was the second so-called school prayer decision (the first came a year earlier in Engel v. Vitale). But it was the most far-reaching prohibiting school officials from organizing or leading prayers and devotional Bible reading in public schools.

Its been a long time since then, and I remember the time before and after for prayer and studying things of the Bible in school. For example, there was a time when, as a student, that I was given an assignment to learn and memorize a certain Psalm in school, as part of my school homework and assignment, to be recited in class.
And then, shortly afterwards, there was *nothing* any more of the Bible or Psalms or prayers or anything of God...
I would mark the time that we stopped being a Christian nation from that time (definitely so) forward.
God had given us over 40 years to change things but we havent and so now we have the judgment of God in the form and nature of Obama, designed specifically to *destroy the nation*...

I remember when God was “dead”. Turned out, he was just spending time with all the souls of murdered, unborn babies.
xactly - it’s like I keep saying - while Bambi is a problem, the real issue is our deluded fellow countrymen.
Some have, I suppose. The Cal Tomases, the Rick Warren’s, and their ilk. Not most of us. Those who ask the question should turn up at their local Tea Parties on April 15th...
America elected Barack Hussein Obama. We’re in very bad shape.
I'd say that circa Liberty Valance [1962] was about the last era that the "Right" had any influence over the culture.
By the mid-1960s, the "War" was completely lost.
The problem for the "Right" was that they were so gullible and so naive and so trusting in people that they never even realized that there had been a "War", much less that they had lost it.
It simply points up how out of touch with reality the MSM is.
The left is DESPERATLY pushing this meme.
Meghan mccain was on TV last night (cnn) proudly pushing the homosexual marriage mantra.
CNN just prior had the christians have hijacked the republican party.
It is all about trying to make christianity VERBOTEN in political discourse. OR to be a christian is to be discredited before you open your mouth.
It is coordinated and orwellian.
christian = thoughtcrime.
Almost anything written by a press monkey has to be filtered through your own common sense lenses.
The Soulless Left has almost complete control of the news media, the entertainment media, and the public education system. Victory looks certain to them, and they are claiming it.
But the fight is not over, not at my house. I’ve turned off the Soulless Left’s news media years ago, I don’t watch their entertainment programming, the grandkids have been in private school for the last half dozen years. The church we are in keeps knocking out walls to make room for more people, so I know its not just us, and I think other churches in town are seeing the same thing.
Homeschooling movement is stronger than ever and growing.
Homeschooling families are LARGE.
Homeschooling families have multigenerational vision.
Homeschooling will be the next target of the left.
Religion has no place in Public School!!!!!
That is way there should not be a ‘Public School’.
Yes, that’s so true. We have to realize that the real and basic and foundational problem comes back to our own citizens. And there is where the problem really must be solved.
I like to say, at times, that the problem would also be solved quite easily if Christians simply made more Christians (i.e., got serious about proclaiming the Gospel to everyone possible and always did so...). Then the politics would take care of themsevles...
The “Right”, no. Republicans, yes.
No, but the RINOs have.
Yep - the fields are white unto harvest.
You said — Religion has no place in Public School!!!!!

Ummm... the first public school textbook authorized by our country was, very simply, the Bible... :-)
And since that time, we’ve come a long ways in getting God and the Bible “out of the public schools”...
