Thats what Leonard Riggio, founder and chairman of the Barnes & Noble bookstore chain says. According to him, anyone who would dare place a book with a picture of a monkey next to a book with a picture of Obama has committed a hate crime, and belongs in a federal prison.
This malicious and despicable act is nothing short of a hate crime, which should be punishable under federal statutes.
Of course, Barnes & Noble is always screaming free speech and stop censorship when Christians ask them not to sell blasphemous or obscene books. Free speech is for porno; its not for ridiculing Obama.

I suspect that the photo above was arranged by some kids and not the shop owner.

Is this a hate crime?Only to those who are bigots to begin with. But the broader issue is why I never patronize Barnes & Noble...

Well, I don’t shop at Barnes & Noble. And now I am certain I never will.
Neo-Liberals are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. I have nothing but contempt for them.

My first thought as well. I ignored this story when it first appeared, so this is the first time I saw the picture, and my initial thought was that someone placed the book there in order to cause trouble...

Can we place a picture of Leonard Riggio next to a jackass?
Can we place a picture of Biden next to a dodo bird?
Would those be hate crimes?

I suspect that Zero will be the last more or less black president we have for a very long time. I think a lot of white liberals voted for him figuring that they could absolve themselves from white guilt but it’s pretty obvious that exactly the opposite is happening.

Can’t be.
The left morphed Bush’s picture into monkey pictures all the time.
And we all know THEY are not the ideology of hate.
Race aside, he does look like Curious George, as a caller in to Rush’s program said.

WE shop at Barnes and Nobels and it is the most liberal store I know of. I threw a small hissy fit there one night because the conservative author I was looking for was in a secret location, upside down and backwards on a bottom shelf at the back of the store and the liberal clinton butt kissing book was in piles by the front door. Things seemed to get a little better after that.

Is this a hate crime? Of course not.
And the premise of 'thought crimes' is complete nonsense.
