Global warming alarmists promote several hysterical themes including "rising sea levels". The supposedly rising oceans are "evidence" of the catastrophic effect of humans on global temperatures. Problem is, like most anthropogenic global warming (AGW) marketing, it's an utter fabrication.

The land at particular points can go up or down in elevation. So changes in sea level at a given location are essentially meaningless. A classic (no pun intended) example is the "Temple of Serapis" at Pozzuoli at the north end of the Bay of Naples.
The dark marks in the columns are holes drilled by marine rock-boring mollusks and represent the highest water level around the columns as bradyseismic activity lowered and raised the columns over the centuries.

SIMPLE SOLUTION:
Rising seas is a good thing. All we have to do is build DE-SALINIZATION plants along the east coast. We get all the drinking water we need, and deplete the rising oceans at the same time.
De-Salinization plants are common in other parts of the world that have scare water resources.

The latest hack to join the O administration is the kook that created the charts for albore’s movie.
He stated that billions would die in the next few decades due to rising oceans.

Did the coastline move inland or further out to sea? The sign of the change might be significant.

What? Ice that is covering ground that is above sea level has the effect of raising the sea level when it melts. Greenland and Antarctica have a lot of this. Given the comparative size of the ice packs to the world's oceans and the difference in volume in frozen versus liquid water, they would have to melt an average of 37' in depth to raise the oceans 1'.
Greenland appears to be losing an ever so slight amount of ice volume, while Antarctic is gaining ice.

also ocean volume will increase due to increase in gross temperature. Which should occur with land as well as water.

The whole Canadian shield is still remounding from the weight of glaciers. Which should mean that its dropping somewhere else.
