Global warming alarmists promote several hysterical themes including "rising sea levels". The supposedly rising oceans are "evidence" of the catastrophic effect of humans on global temperatures. Problem is, like most anthropogenic global warming (AGW) marketing, it's an utter fabrication.

I agree that the whole globull warming thing is a bunch of crap.
but their are spring tides and neap tides and all kinds of tides that are much lower (or higher) at certain times of years than other times of year.
Why in the hell would the sea rise anyway?
Put ice cubes in a glass of water and when the
ice melts does the water run over? Duh!
New islands making water rise makes more sense.

The land at particular points can go up or down in elevation. So changes in sea level at a given location are essentially meaningless.
The photo caption says the tidal range is less than a meter.

The contention is that the Greenland ice cap is melting, since Greenland is on above sea level land, the considerable melt water will increase the ocean volume, also ocean volume will increase due to increase in gross temperature.
To this day, southern England is sinking and the northern part is rising from the Ice Age melting of ice on the northern part.
Southern parts of the Gulf Coast are subsiding from the removal of oil and gas underground.
Evidence is such a pesky thing.
The whole Canadian shield is still remounding from the weight of glaciers.
