Green and black ribbons are a little too close to the tricolor of Black Libration that Ayers, Rev.Wright, and the rest used to use for my tastes.

I would also warn about flying our flag upside down as a sign of protest since that is usually done by liberals and antiwar types again mixed messages vs dual messages.

The tea bag on the antenna is a nice gesture but hardly practical, a good rain could stain your car.

A tricorn hat or a cowboy hat with a rosette of red white and blue attached, sends a clearer message.

And is easy to do based upon Fourth of July Materials sold almost everywhere.

they are very similar to the Cockade worn by James Monroe during the French Revolution when he was our envoy there.

Again a simple message with historical overtones, "we have revolted before against tyranny".

I personally have a boonie hat I could turn into a tricorn simply by pinning up three sides, the right side with a rosette and the back and the left bare with safety pins hidden inside the top, or even hand sewed for effect.

Again a clear message sent.

LOL I'm so sure. If you wore that...Next Barney Frank would be hitting on you.

Well, don’t wanna confuse with Ayers :( Yikes! Maybe image needs to be mailed versus an item that would be security issue..

<<<Again, lots of ideas—need to marinate over weekend perhaps—an image faxed, emailed, etc. or a saying—and a bumper sticker or something that will let public know that there are citizens who like movie network are “mad as HE** and don’t wanna take it anymore!”

<<<Maybe just black ribbons signifying death of constitution and grieving over future of country.

The cockade idea is a good one, usmcobra.

During the Civil War women made distinctive cockades for their men - on both sides - to wear into battle. Troops would muster in various towns before embarking and the ladies would come out to the train stations and give cockades to wear. Making cockades gives women a stake in the game.

Perhaps the ladies here on FR could come up with designs for each state and sell them to make a few bucks. Cockades would give us identity and begin establishing unit cohesion amongst the various individuals in the many states. We need that.

Maybe you could run the idea past the ladies who manage FReeper Canteen and see if they might run a thread asking for ideas and submissions of cockades. I believe they have the organization and skills to do this.

I think you should suggest it because it’s your idea. Besides, it’s a good one. I think I already said that. :-)

Hmmmm? What say you...
