The ice storm in Kentucky has proven to be a massive disaster. Scores of deaths in winter without heat, electricity, water, and so on. The utility company says it is the largest outage in history.

Where's the President? Dunno. He's not spoken a word. After all, they're white crackers, not real people. They didn't vote for him, so... why help them? Why be concerned, when a few voters for the "other" party might die?

I no longer can stand to watch the news or anything else . TV DC’d—but when you mention Ann Compton it rings a bell; in 2000 was waiting for news (radio) on the latest from the SC to decide whether it would be Bush or Gore. About 10 pm PST a snotty, angry female voice told the world the decision—Ann Compton, with all the scorn she could muster. What a bitc#.

Ann Compton is contemptible. I have written several letters to ABC programming... she cannot deliver a straight story to save her life.

Now she’s cheerful, which is even worse.

I remember a local gal who was canned (late 70s or early 80s, she sulked & pouted as she gave the news that the extension on the ERA had failed--(attempt to strongarm balking states into ratifying it) She looked like an angry 2-yr old, and soon got in trouble arguing with the boss & she was no more. Until that, she was really good.

I used to like Fox but about 2 years ago I gave up on them too & watch none, only papers & Net.

When a white Republican is President and the disaster affects blacks, the media are all over the story 24/7. They report FEMA is incompetent and uncaring, and attribute both to racism.

When a black Democrat is President and the disaster affects whites, the media is silent and FEMA is "doing a great job."

The only thing consistent about the media is their bias.
