If the Republican party starts reaching out more to the black community on social issues, we might just split their vote. Probably a pipe-dream, but it’s the only major Democratic bloc I can see as reachable without compromising on our core positions.
It worked with the Prop 8 referendum in California, so maybe we can start by pushing for Republican sponsored referendums at the state level that would appeal to them. They will be more inclined, I think, to warm up to Republicans again gradually, by voting for a ballot initiative here and there, then maybe some local black candidates challenging white Democratic machine politicians in cities like Chicago.
Colon Powell and Condi Rice weren’t much appreciated I think because they were labelled by the media as Uncle Toms, and weren’t as visibly involved in the black community as the many black Democrats. If we can get some locally known people to come over to us and run in local races, people will not buy that media tripe as easily.
Not saying we should stoop to identity politics, but we need to take the war of ideas to new battlefields if we want to prevent the Dems and ACORN from repeating this disaster again.
LOL! Thanks for watching/reading/commenting/posting. All of them are good, but that one hits home.
Not any more.
All your labor now belong to Obamassiah.....
It's the "change you will be left with"....
You mean like letting them have vouchers to get their kids out of the hell hole schools they are stuck in?
You mean like reducing the onerous crushing regulations that burden small business start ups and kill employment opportunities?
You mean like a no tolerance policy for drug use / gang activity in government housing?
Or do you mean pandering to the black community and buying their votes with meaningless feel good political correctness and just enough government money not to starve to death like the Democrats have done?
I agree that identity politics is something to be avoided, but I also agree (if I may reword your point) that no bloc of voters ought to be ruled out.
That's what has cost the REPUBs in the last two election cycles.
Reaganomics needs to be explained to the public every two years,
and practiced by all Repubs. I can only dream.
[Without a MAGIC WAND, Obama was going to have a tough time fulfilling all those promises!]
Whad'ya mean? No gas in my tank, no free house, no stopping the war today, no stop to gorebull warming? DUmmies are doomed!
[I don't know that you want to talk about "breaking the back of a camel" in regard to the homosexuals.]
Hussein has to keep his base happy.
[I'd like to see him try to organize the "reality-based" community!]
Community organizer is the politically correct version of a radical communist sympathizer.
[FREE UNIVERSAL $44,000 A YEAR FOR EVERYONE!]
Yeah DUmmie, tell the Silky Pony, bill and hill, the Swimmer, the holly weird elites etc., that they have to live on $44,000 per year.
[I don't think he wants to do THAT! That would mean overturning Roe v. Wade!]
I'd like to see the likes of Janet Rogers Brown on the SC.
[Afghanistan, the new Iraq. Barry Obama's War. Chimpy McBama.]
Hussein's a warmonger now. DUmmies will be sorely disappointed when he kills more "civilian wedding" guests.
[Change We Can Be Left In.]
DUmmies are permanently stuck on stupid.
[WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! PLENTY of material for the DUmmie FUnnies for YEARS to come!!]
The DUmp has become a house divided.......
Why don’t these dummies “speak truth to power”, that is what they have always done?
Very good job today. Thanks for carrying the mantle.
Yes to the first 3, no to the last 1. Also, I think the biggest issue we have that many Blacks can agree with is stopping the abomination of homosexual “marriage”. We have a lot of other issues like this that they might support. The problem is, I think, that the Republican party too often has written them off as an unwinnable demographic, and so they get most of their views of Republicans solely from the mainstream media. If we can circumvent that by reaching out to them directly, maybe they will give us a chance. It certainly can’t hurt to try.
[I don't think he wants to do THAT! That would mean overturning Roe v. Wade!]"
That, to me is the most hilarious thing about DUmmies. They don't have a freaking clue what they're talking about, but they've heard someone say it (some Conservative obviously), and they know it sounds like something they should want.
So they just parrot it, and leave absolutely no doubt what morons they are.
Thanks for the ping.
% "I Want My DTV" %
Now THAT would be a shift of seismic proportions....
% Still DUmmie, after all these years... %
When this isnt forthcoming, they whine. And its never coming, so...
What's the old saying?...THE THINGS THAT COME TO THOSE THAT WAIT ARE USUALLY THE SAME THINGS LEFT BEHIND BY THOSE WHO GOT THERE FIRST...
Great DUmmies FUnnies :-))
What if it had said "Everything was fine until the gays blew a fuse"?
I made this argument to a lib friend of mine this past weekend, when she told me that all republicans are racist. She told me that "she could live with the underprivileged (people of color) not having vouchers because it went against her concept of egalitarianism in American schools". Only some kids could get out, and not all private schools have to take kids who don't behave, and many kids parents would choose to keep them in bad public schools anyway, which was so unequal and unfair. (Of course, she got to go to private school).
Dude. You have an extra "f" in there!
