Nostradamus missed it by 8 years. WWWIII started in Nov 2001 and is well underway.

Has Nostradamus ever predicted anything correctly, before the fact?

Did he really use the phrase “nuclear bombs” or is this a loose translation.

That’s all well and good, but who did he pick to win the Super Bowl?

I don’t believe any of this conspiracy crap.

But Iran might have a nuke next year.

If so, are we really approaching Armageddon?

Wait, I thought Nostradomus, or whatever his name was, predicted Armagedon to be July 4, 1999.

His original text reads nothing like this.
His words and phrasing are much more circumspect.

I’m assuming this is someone’s expanded interpretation of Nostradamus’s material, correct? I haven’t read much of his stuff but I sure don’t remember it translating into clear and concise narrative. It’s more like weird poetry, right?

Actually Nostradamus might have predicted a very special event. It’s the Galactic Alignment.

http://alignment2012.com/whatisGA.htm

History channel did a special about Nostradamus and 2012. History Channel claimed that Nostradamus took his insight from readings of Ancient Egyptians, Mayans, and Ancient Indians (India), that all talked about this same point in time.
Maybe there will be doom in 2012.

"Look Mammy!
It's our little boy Obammie!
Call up Sammie,
Down in Alabammie!

Tell him Obammie's gonna WIN in a grand slammie!
Ohhhhh Mammy! Fix me some eggs and hammy, Mammy!"

“They do not appear to have any political power but they really have a firm grip on world affairs, like sharp teeth sunk into everything.”

We don’t have as firm a grip as everyone thinks that we do.

“The Elite manipulate the economy to cause the unemployment or inflation rates to rise or fall at their whim. “

Sorry, lost me right there. Why would the elite want the consumers to have no spendable funds.

Conspiracy predictors predict to sell books. Those nuts make no sense. The nuts who trust them make less sense.

Didn’t Nostro predict 6 out of the last 3 recessions, or am I thinking of someone else?

VI, 41:

The second chief of the realm of Annemark,
Through those of Frisia & of the British Isle,
Will spend more than one hundred thousand marks,
Exploiting in vain the voyage to Italy.

II, 96:

http://www.nostradamusquatrains.com/Century2/Quatrain96.htm

A burning torch will be seen in the sky at night
near the end and source of the Rhone.
Famine and weapon; help provided too late,
Persia will turn and invade Macedonia.

II, 3:

Because of heat like that of the sun upon the sea,
the fish around Negrepont will become half cooked.
The local people will eat them
when in Rhodes and Genoa there is a lack of food.

From Monaco as far as Sicily
all the coast will remain deserted.
There will be no suburbs, cities nor town
which have not been pillaged and robbed by barbarians.

Somebody mentioned Nostro doing research into ancient Mayan civilization...um, correct me if I’m wrong, but the America’s where only discovered in 1421/1492 (depending on the China/Columbus belief)...Nostro lived from 1503-1566!

So how much documentation and research material were really available to Nostro (only roughly 100 years after North American discovery) considering the Chinese/Italians were probably struggling just to stay alive much less write in-depth psych studies on the Mayan for future review by middle-class Frenchmen?

Sounds cheese-ball to me and completely unbelievable that Nostro studied anything Mayan of real depth - especially a Mayan prediction that I’m sure held religious status and thus was closer guarded than - say - what was on the daily dinner menu. BS to that comment!
