Members of TeamSarah.org, that ever-growing national group of feisty supporters of Gov. Sarah Palin, have complained to the Federal Communications Commission about a joke David Letterman apparently made about Palin.
In a note to members Monday, Team Sarah claims members are "hearing" that the FCC is launching an investigation into the Letterman barb. The group doesn’t say which joke members found offensive—Letterman has routinely picked on the governor in recent months. But it could be when he and sidekick Paul Shaffer said they were “aroused” by Palin when she was running for vice president. In the November show, Katie Couric was Letterman's guest.

I think everyone on Free Republic should join Team Sarah. I joined a few weeks ago. It’s a great site!
I’m a member and I complained because what he said was disgusting and sexist. Hopefully the one tooth wonder will be taken off the air I can’t stand him. And yeah, feel free to join :-)
Complaining about a joke that someone "apparently" made is ridiculous. Either they made it or not, and if they didn't, then don't complain.
And if the joke was indeed that Dave and Paul were "aroused" by Palin -- well, they might as well complain about half the commentators in the nation and most of the red-blooded American guys on Free Republic.
This is pretty silly.
I doubt a sissy wimp like Letterman can get aroused.

Whether people want Palin to be our nominee or not this kind of activism would make joining them worth it.

He did make the joke. And it was lame and dirty.

I think they were thankful, seeing as those two lead peckers haven’t been funny OR able to get it up in YEARS!
David Letterman, once a funny man, now just a flaccid man.
TeamSarah.org is a great site and has a lot of potential of growing into a large online grassroots presence. It is starting to get a lot of attention. I have found a lot of good info and stories on there that I hadn’t seen elsewhere.
So, join and invite your friends to do the same!!

Unfortunately, Palin is a public figure. You can say almost anything about a public figure with no repurcussions.
But look on the bright side: Obama’s a public figure, too!
Agreed. David Letterman is irrelevant. He’s a has-been who hasn’t been funny since the early 80s. Why get upset over him?
