Schwarzenegger says that without his acting experience, his job in Sacramento would have been much more difficult. He also says he'd be interested in becoming president if it were possible.
By Michael Rothfeld 4:46 PM PST, December 21, 2008 Reporting from Sacramento -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn't said whether he would pursue another job in politics after his final term ends in two years. But there's at least one position he might be interested in, if he were eligible for it: president.
"Yeah, absolutely," Schwarzenegger said in an interview airing tonight on "60 Minutes" on CBS, when asked by correspondent Scott Pelley if he would like to be president. "I think that I am always a person that looks for the next big goal. And I love challenges. I always set goals that are so high, that are almost impossible to achieve."
At the moment, becoming president would be impossible. Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria and became a U.S. citizen in 1983, is not a "natural born citizen" of the United States, as required by the Constitution.

Who's to say?
Oops, I meant that to go to nobama08, who asked "What's to stop him?"
Seriously? Now why would they be afraid of that being out there? Mark my words; Congress will take up the issue in the next four years and the Dems will be arguing to open the Presidency to any citizen.
Yes, either Obama gets DQ’d from serving as President or we conduct a re-election with Schwarzenneger running for the GOP.

I hope Gov. Palin would have nothing to do with Aaahnold.
I think its worth suggesting, at the very least its being censored, not talked about, hushed up and suddenly taboo, why I wonder?
If suddenly people started to agree that Arnold has every right in the world to seek to be POTUS then whats stopping him?
It never slowed down Obama and nobody with judicial backing is going to enforce it anyway its like playing a ball game without the referees.
Aaaaahnold has a birth certificate - in Austria, naming an Austrian hospital and an Austrian doctor or midwife. He has a record as being a naturalized citizen. There is no doubt in the world that he is not a “natural-born” citizen of the USA. No amount of “judicial backing” is going to get past that. You’d have to pass an Amendment to fix it.
Besides, he’s a Republican.
And I would really hate to be offered him the Republican candidate.
Wow, that’s quite a revelation and discussion there. It’s amazing how many people do not understand what being a “natural born citizen” actually means. Great job. Amazing that the article was scrubbed. I did not see the interview, but I am sure he said what they said he said, so all the scrubbing in the world won’t change it. Is the interview posted on the net?
Thanks for the hat tip.

I didn’t view it, so I don’t know if it’s been “scrubbed”.
