Regarding that report from Intelius: I wouldn't give it much credence, since Intelius is the brainchild of the same inside-trader scam artist that walked away with billions from the sale of Infospace -- just before the stock tanked.

I'd also avoid making any credit card transaction with Intelius, or you're likely to find recurring charges for bogus services by third parties on your statements.

It’s just that this lady came forward, and the SS# has been verified to be in use by other systems apart from Intelius.

It really does appear Stanley A. didn’t have an original SS# to begin with.

That's not true. Stanley A. is listed in the Social Security Death Index  (SSDI) at Ancestry.com, with that SS #.

Her original SS application, with the same SS#, dated May 22, 1959, has been posted at various internet sites for months.

In other words, the original application contains that number, and the SSDI -- an official database of the Social Security Administration -- confirms it.

I believe this is new discovery.

It's yet another confirmation that Ann Dunham, known THIS time as "Mrs. Anna Obama", lived in Seattle from 1961-1962. Source: "Stanley Ann Dunham, mother of Barack Obama, graduates from Mercer Island High School in June 1960" (published Jan 22, 2009)

But here's a potentially bigger issue: Note the name SIX lines above "Obama Anna Mrs", living at 515 (B) 13th Avenue E on Capitol Hill, is a person named "Bernice Payne".

Payne, coincidentally, is the maiden name of Ann's mother, "Madelyn Lee Payne", or "Toots". As you may remember, Toots is Obama's maternal grandmother that passed away around election time 2008. Madelyn along with husband Stanley Dunham and Ann Dunham reportedly moved to Hawaii in June 1960, establishing Hawaiian residency after being in Hawaii for one full year, as Hawaiian law provides.

So who is "Bernice Payne"? Is this a relative of "Madelyn Payne" or perhaps even an an alias that "Madelyn Payne" may have used? It seems just TOO coincidental that another "Payne" would live next door to Ann Dunham and baby Obama in Seattle.

Something perhaps for the genealogists in the group...

One point about the site you linked with the Ann Dunham(Anna Obama Mrs, student) apt on Capitol Hill the article says she stayed in Seattle for probably less than a year, but the author didn’t find the ChristianFaithandReason excerpt where friend Barbara Cannon Rusk mentioned that she visited Ann at the apartment on Capitol Hill after the World’s Fair was over. The World’s Fair ended October 21, 1962 so Ann was still in Seattle at the end of October. She didn’t return to Hawaii until 1963 and that date was arrived at from the lousy houses article which appeared in “The Honolulu Advertiser”. They mentioned apt 110 1427 Alexander St as where the Dunhams were living in 1963 but they were incorrect. The apartment was rented in their names but Ann and Jr actually lived there before they moved back in with Madelyn and Stanley at the home at 2277 Kamehameha Ave.(the first home the Dunhams lived in when they moved to Hawaii in 1960)

FredNerks has a really nice picture of the Polk’s Seattle City Directory for 1961.

Madelyn has a younger sister, Arlene, but as far as I know she was never in Seattle. IIRC she taught at a University in N.C. and retired in N.C.

maggief and I came across Kelley Allen Shippleck earlier this year. We kept hitting dead ends trying to find out just what her connection was with the Dunhams.

This was the weird thing: Her husband changed his name to Jeffery L Morgan.

explain it me again Chief, Stanley Ann graduated in June 1960, moved to Hawaii; by November she's pregnant, and in early August 1961 (4th) obama is born. I still find that difficult to believe. She's nothing but a schoolgirl.

IIRC Stanley Ann was born in 1942. She does not look 18 yo in that schoolbook image.
