Last night, Fox News in Chicago was already reporting that Rahm Emmanuel personally met with the governor "on several occasions" to discuss the patronage Senate seat being vacated by Obama. This is getting very sticky already. There are already many cracks in Obama's story, and rumors range from suggestions of his complicity and knowledge to suggestions that his camp blew the whistle on the Blagojevich crime spree. Was the crime stopped before it had an opportunity to implicate Obama? (video)

All of the tapes RELEASED! Fitz said he has only released information pertaining to the case against Blago himself.
Zero's problem (so far) seems to be his denials and his lying about innocent behavior.
That was my thought. How ironic that Blago’s wife was being set up to get the same position that Michelle was leaving behind? If the position was able to be handed out rather than earned, why is no one investigation how and why she got the job too?

Of course you’re right. I spent too much time (10 mins.) listening to tv this morning and that confirms what I already knew: MSM covering for Democrats.
Although I can’t remember if it was from his home or his governor’s office. Probably his home.
You guys need to review how a conspiracy charge is used. A completed bribe is not necessary - only an intent to commit a crime between two or more people. Blago’s goose is cooked - like thedentist says Fitz has a limited time frame to work - if he works over Blago he may roll over on the big guy. Fingers crossed. ;-)

I think we have our wires crossed :-). These were FEDS that did that. I assume!! They looked official to me. Sorry for the mix-up.
Fitz will protect all those associated with Obama. That's just his style. He is not going to offend his new boss. Rahm will be protected - insufficient evidence to show that he took part in or had knowledge of the illegal deal-making by others.
Here is a link to contact Blago and tell him not to let Fitz keep this investigation private. Blagajevich should call their bluff and say make my day....go ahead with the impeachment. I think we will all benefit from this investigation being kept in the public eye. Once Blago resigns he will lose the one thing he has going for him: bringing consequences to other dirty politicians.
Well that’s a relief!
I am not certain that any crimes have been committed. I think Blagajevich is being scapegoated. Politics is a game of "What's in it for me" and Blago was just a little less discreet about how he asked. I really hope Blagajevich fights this with everything hes got.

As we are so often reminded by the various organs of media record, there is nothing like a public airing of political laundry to restore the confidence of the American people in their political process.
Besides, in these troubled times, I’m sure that the popcorn industry could use a little boost!
That'll be the leitmotif of this next Administration.
This is a gift from God and should not be squandered. An impeachment trial of Blagajevich will reveal politics as usual in Chicago in a way our MSM has refused to do.
