I’m not sure what Donofrio intends, but it does no harm to ask that ALL the candidates should produce their proofs of natural born citizenship. If McCain qualifies, then fine, no harm done.

As I understand it, McCain was not born in the Canal Zone, but over the border in a hospital in Panama proper. In the circumstances that may not disqualify him, but there’s no harm in asking the Court to vet all the candidates and declare which of them are disqualified.

Exactly! Does anyone wonder why McCain did not bring up Obama’s qualifications during the campaign? Maybe it was because he knew he also did not meet the standards of being a “natural born” citizen. Who knows. But the Constitution must be upheld!
