I'm going to give Hawaii's Vital Records office a call, and confirm that late birth registrations are given whatever is the next available number. So, let's say they had 14,058 live births that occurred between Jan. 1, 1961 and Dec.31, 1961, and that were also registered during the year. Any late birth registrations that were received on and after Jan 1, 1962 would begin with 14,059 and increment for each additional late registration.
If I had to guess, I'd say that Obama's "birth record number," 010640, just happens to belong to someone deceased.

***That’s my guess as well. I’ve seen other freepers echo that same thought. It would take a ton of digging to identify whoever the deceased was. It would be easy for team zer0bama to track if anyone were getting close because once someone starts asking questions about Mr. Dead&Gone, they’d know that someone was onto them. But by that time, several years would have passed and they could throw more dirt in the air to obscure the trail.
This level of effort would take some real money and I don’t see that coming out of thin air. It’s effectively the end of this episode in politics. But there’s some energy left over that can be harnessed. That’s why it makes so much sense for you to write your book. Your book would become a rallying point for constitutional conservatives, and we could set up a nonprofit organization to continue the investigation. Let some fat cats put their money where their mouths are.
