Yes there are but you have to be strong enough to do them as it involved very deep breathing and coughing.
He is getting daily physio to do this.
Major setback yesterday he aspirated they think on the feeding tube but it may have been jelly, ice cream or even the water but they did discover that the feeding tube had become dislodged so it was likely that reason.
Dad was very distressed and both chest infection and temperature were very bad also it appears he has developed heartburn.
He was so poorly last night I stayed up the hospital and slept in a chair next to his bed neither he or me slept at all. He then crashed out about 9.00am this morning.
The plan for today is to gradually introduce sips of water if he tolerates that then maybe mashed up food and new feeding (NG) tube will be inserted this afternoon after which they may actually xray it to check it is in the right place and put him on the feed overnight.
Prayers asked that he can pick up again from this major set back up especially as it has once again disrupted the building his strength up as the eating has been interrupted.
