The famous Vargas pinup girls were given a rebirth by celebrity photographer Tim White, whom decided to honor Alberto Vargas, the pin-up girls painter, with a book called Hollywood Pinups.
Angie Harmon, Susan Sarandon, Kate Hudson, Tea Leoni, Michelle Trachtenberg, Elisha Cuthbert, Denise Richards and even the Olsens are all given a touch of that old Hollywood glam in Tim Whites photographs.

I'm not too familiar with Pfeiffer but I am a fan of Sela Ward. It's good to hear that she's a conservative too.I'm also a pretty big fan of Meryl Streep...more for her talent than for her appearance.
I once had swim trunks with Vargas girls and beach balls on them. Bought them at Paul Stuart. True story.
Hey! Who are you calling a chucklehead? I was performing a community service by meeting a challenge that was made! ;-) What about the chucklehead who posted the photos of Rosie O'Donuts?
Okay - Sophia Loren is in her seventies and still great looking, but Sarandon is not and never was Sophia Loren!
He must've used the airbrush more than Vargas did in his original paintings.
And NO. They are not identical to his works. One came from the hand of a man with talent to give an amazing illusion of the human form but accomplished his task with just paint on paper.
This man pushed a button on a camera that captured the photo, and he may have had a team of assistants working lights and even running photoshop for him (most pros DON'T do their own photoshop editing in the digital world).
HEY NOW! The Fairness Doctrine doesn’t apply to FR just YET!! These women weren’t in the running.
Angie Harmon - yum! - is another conservative woman.
I beg to differ. What's stopping them is that the creative people (the people who would write the stories, create the scripts, act in them and direct them) all find no "truth" in a wholesome story. They want to do something that indicts the current societial structure and glorifies their world view.
My enduring memory of Sela Ward is a scene from her former TV series, Sisters. Her character had been contracted to create Hillary Clinton's inaugural gown in the show. An episode ended with Ms. Ward on her knees, looking adoringly upwards towards a figure portrayed as Hillary Clinton.
I realize that this is acting. But she played it so convincingly that I always imagined that Sela Ward was another fellow traveler in Hollywood.
Sela Ward is a classic beauty reminiscent of the era of these pinups.
You tease, you please.
Ahem.
OK, then there are TWO chuckle heads messing up our viewing pleasure. There's no reason whatsoever to be so dang mean and cruel. Here I am trying to ogle some hotness and you chuckle heads have to come along and make me verp.
What say you? I think even some guys here would prefer him to Ol' Helen.
Yes,you're right.I had forgotten about that.It looks like I was wrong about her having cancer. But one of the standard therapies for MS are steroids which,as I said, causes you to gain weight like crazy by increasing your appetite. We saw it in my Dad..who had chronic lung disease...and he would be given steroids when he had a flareup. He'd start to eat everything that wasn't nailed down.
