ROFL!!! Hey Mitt!

I see you took a few minutes to get out of that curled up fetal position from under your desk, and pulled your thumb out of your mouth long enough to check in here.

I knew you were a big boy, and you would get over all that shock and bitterness sooner or later and get back to being a leader of the GOP.....oh wait, did I say “back to”

sry....

;-)

“Personal responsibility, smaller yet EFFECTIVE government and safety at home and for our allies. We can’t reform the Federal government until re reform our party.”

Same old same old unbelievable RNC claptrap.

Rove would be better

I disagree with you on this.

Rove will be forever linked to Bush--with everything that involves. Isn't Rove basically a centrist? IMHO, that's not what we need at this time.

Remember when we lost everything in the 92’ election and two short years later we seized control of contract, most of the govenorships, and 500 dem defections? Well the guy at the helm was Newt. He is exactly the kind of mind we need now to take back government with strong conservative ideas.

It’s only unbelievable because 2002-2006 proved the rule “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Thanks Delay, Hastert, Stevens etc., etc. etc.

We had our chance and we blew it because of hubris, greed and plain old incompetence.

We had a handful of Republicans, like Jeff Flake and Tom Coburn who saw the shit the House and Senate leaders either ignored or quietly supported. They spoke out every chance they could and subsequently got treated like third class citizens by the party leadership as well as the rank-and-file, and now were paying the price.

Gingrich is a proven reformer and that’s what the Republicans need more than anything.

The democrats were really corrupt back then and the Republican brand was still very good since we were just coming off Reagan.

I don’t think it’ll be 2 years. Maybe 4-6? Even so, if Democrats can force down union, immigration and all this other crap in the meantime we are so screwed.
