Lots of Obama’s plans are similar to FDR’s in the thirties. And yes, a lot of the original ideas of the Founding Fathers WERE lost in the New Deal - and some are still absent. Heck, lots of folks think that the Real America died in 1933.

But - I sincerely believe, that as dark as this night is, America has not died. Not yet. But we will need to continue to fight for it.

I can see 1933 as the year that the infection started. When FDR basically packed the Supreme Court with people who would say what he was doing was constitutional, the bacteria was introduced into the system. Tonight was the culmination of the 75 years that the sickness grew.

“But - I sincerely believe, that as dark as this night is, America has not died. Not yet. But we will need to continue to fight for it.”

I can hope with you. If it’s not dead, it’s on life support and the nurse is headed for the plug.

I am reminded of a verse that is simple and true. Hopefully this verse will be read over and over and over again.

“If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14
