They can never say America is Racist again,

It was ALWAYS gonna be about Race. If BHO lost, why he triumphed over a Racist society.

If he lost it was purely because of Racism.

There will be NO criticizing BHO or his policies lest you be Racist.

Capital Rs intentional.

I'm not ashamed. I'm disappointed and embarassed. Look how low the republican party has sunk.

If you want to make a difference, first thing tomorrow change your party affiliation to Independent. Notify the RNC. Let them personally know your disgust. Several folks have floated ideas of boycotts. I say boycott the Republican party until they drop to their collective weak knees and start an extreme makeover with input from non-politicians or consultant. Make them beg for your support.

I don’t think its our country that elected him. Not the people who built this country. I hope you are right about 2010 but I think while ObamaPelosiReid are busy passing laws for abortion on demand, socialized medicine, wealth redristribution, Fairness Doctrine, etc and packing the Supreme Court, they will come up with a way to stop all future elections, too

Unfortunately, I can’t convince myself that a clearly articulated conservative platform will sway the American public, which has been so dumbed down by the (liberal run) “education” system and (liberal run) media that they no longer have the brain-power to tell good from evil, black from white, apples from oranges – you name it.

If more than half of America would elect someone who obviously disagrees with our very system of Government, simply because he’s going to “pay their car insurance bills” (or fill in whatever other hand-out you can suppose here)... well, to quote Rush, “we are SO screwed.”

If the brain-dead half chooses to turn America into a socialist utopia, is it still America? Is an America you want to belong to?

And, I agree, our party is not without its share of blame. John McCain was an unbelievably lousy choice as a candidate. Like... way to GO, Republicans... just as America’s looking for something new, pick the dullest old guy you can find and run him for office. Oh, yeah... he knows how to “reach across the aisle.” Hot damn... THAT got us far, didn’t it?

I’m MORE than ashamed of my country - I’m disgusted with it.

Too many people still believe that there will definitely be elections in ‘10, ‘12, and beyond, when the dominant left could really decide to postpone all future U.S. elections instead in order to illegally keep their power longer. Why suffer political embarrassment later on when it can be completely avoided? Leftists don’t care about laws and the U.S. Constitution, unless it helps leftists. Another possible scenario has leftists, RINO’s, and “elite” Republicans combined adding illegal immigrants to both the voter rolls and the welfare rolls, and all of these new voters will successfully suppress all future conservative voters during all future U.S. elections. All conservatives really need to successfully work around all of these above mentioned obstacles that are also added to the ongoing bias in the MSM and full implementation of the Fairness Doctrine.

“...combined with a Rep. party that picked a career beurocrat over a leader.”

Like in 1006 when they picked Bob Dole, because it was “his turn.”

Let oBama pay your mortgage with the wealth of the ultra rich who have had their free ride for too long! Kick back and chill with a 40oz malt liquor on the porch and learn the lyrics to rap music, lower your cars with 22" rims, get a gold-tooth, a red wife beater and some baggie pants! I can't believe you all aren't thinking positive here! Think on the bright side and go wit da flo, ya'll. yo, yo, kick it boyz!

Beyond his middle class pandering and the rhetoric he used to sucker the masses, I’ve seen nothing about this man that suggests he is anything other than a radical leftist. Just for starters, consider the fact that he wrote an article for the Daily Kos a few years ago saying that moderates need to be shoved out of the Dem party so they could move into a more “progressive” direction.

PS...I hope you’re right and I’m wrong.

RE: “...........1/2 of my fellow countrymen make me ashamed all day everyday”

**************

I hear that! Still a country severely divided — and the differences are striking, and even visible when looking at the Obama and McCain post-election “celebrations” on TV tonight.

Crowd was well behaved, nicely dressed, etc., etc., re the McCain group, while Obama’s crowd appeared to be wild, yelping, jumping characters of all persuasions, high on pot (at Century Plaza Hotel in L.A. celebration, at least). Yes, local L.A. TV news reported on the “pot smell” in the ballroom of Century Plaza. Just lovely....................

"I never presume I’m smarter than the electorate as a whole. The US people spoke."

I would think tonight proved the fallacy of your statement. The vast majority of the country gets confused deciding between small fries and large fries. 349 to 158. I rest my case.

Then you’re acting like Obama...thinking you’re smarter than everyone else and you know what’ best for them in terms of governing. Maybe you do. I don’t. We can criticize the electorate or figure out a way to pesruade and lead.

“I’m MORE than ashamed of my country - I’m disgusted with it.”

I’m a naturalized American citizen (from Germany). I was never more ashamed of this great country than when Elian Gonzalez was returned to Cuba.
Now we are Cuba, and I feel like that poor little boy facing the barrel of a gun.

If I want to live in a socialist country, I can go back to Germany. It may be socialist, but it doesn’t have a Muslim as president.

The only consolation for me is that now it is Obama’s War and Obama’s Great Depression.
