What is your problem. No one forces you to read a comment.

I haven’t seen or read the information until today.

So you believe if I have something I think is interesting to say and it is LONG, it would be okay if I post it on every thread that interests me. I'm sure there would be folks like you for who it would be new on every thread. (Maybe 'cause they couldn't remember what they had seen ten minutes earlier?)

Posting the same thing more than once an hour is just rude, at least to those of us who are paying attention.

I agree with ml/nj. I also dislike it when people post the same text or graphic on many threads. The post ml/nj posted is an example, also the Paul Revere graphic further down from that. But, it's a judgment call. I would not ban them, just advise against them. It's a practice known as "spamming the threads".

If the thing is so important, let a a poster put it up as its own thread. Even the faster FR reader is not going to catch everything. But why harass?

It's important that readers complain when they feel harassed by poor posting practice -- that's civility actually. The complaint, ideally can be polite, but a wee bit of a edge is oft needed to get the attention of those spammer bent on some mission.
