Yep — All that drivel about how Kathleen Parker and David Brooks are “conservative” is a bit amusing. Peggy Noonan, though, she’s the disappointment as far as I’m concerned. Peggy has to come to grips with the fact that President Reagan is no longer with us, but in spirit.

Wouldn't you expect Peggy Noonan to be looking at Sarah Palin as the next great collaborator for her gifted speechwriting given the way that Sarah is a natural in Uncle Ronnie's mold? I guess that shows how badly Noonan is infested with elitism.

Peggy Noonan would probably say that the Gipper’s greatness came from his good sense to “listen to her”, something that we in the great unwashed masses refuse to do.

It also gets her goat that we don't need her and her fellow members of the chattering class for information.

I think that we need to reassess where the GOP is going, and either do what Move On did with the Dims and take over the joint, or agree that it's been fun, but we'll see 'ya around the campus. Me personally, I believe that an amicable divorce is probably the best approach-let them come and court our votes instead of taking them for granted. There's nothing wrong with interest group politics-it got us Sarah Palin, after all.
