Steve Schmidt must know it high time to counter Obama's weeklong string of lies and distortions (aided by the MSM), but I have to admit I'm at a loss as to why they haven't counter attacked yet. Steve, if you're reading this please hit back now and don't give Obama a moments peace.

I’ve noticed that every time McCain hits back they call it silly back and forth exchanges. But when Obama attacks they report it with great zeal.

One lefty columnist admitted the problem the left faces with Palin.

They insist that the culture war is a figment of the right’s imagination.

They don’t understand why we paint them as elitists.

But, since they are in that position, every condescending attack on Sarah just reinforces that view of them.

And they really can’t help themselves, they DO see themselves as superior, and can’t understand why everyone else doesn’t see that as well - “look at her! she’s a HICK! and why do you keep saying we’re elitists?!”

They need to put out ads hitting him as a celebrity again for his little fundraiser last night. They also need to hit him HARD on the economy. The little speech that JSM gave yesterday about Obama using the bank situation to attack him would make a great commercial as well.

Maybe they’re waiting for Obama to think he’s doing a bit better before they hit him again.

At the start of the summer Obama looked like a sure winner and the McCain campaign appeared weak and uncertain. Today McCain is leading in most polls including state polls.

At the start of summer the GOP appeared to be is disarray and the base was at best lukewarm to McCain. Today the baseis solidly behind the McCain/Palin ticket, contributions have sky rocketed and enthusiasm for the ticket has yet to peak.

At the beginning of the summer the congressional and senate races looked hopeless and the dimrats were sure to add to their majorities. Today these races are becoming cometitive and there is a real possibility that the GOP may cut into those leftist majorities and some people are saying the GOP may even regain control of one or both houses of congress.

We need to do our part- hit letters to the editor. Leave FR and scour message boards, blogs and forums with posts setting the record straight. Don't underestimate how this controls and influences web searches and average folks ‘checking the story’.

Had this letter to the editor published today.

Ad is an insult to McCain's injuries

Barack Obama started a new campaign commercial mocking John McCain for not using e-mail. Maybe Obama’s campaign should learn how to use a computer for basic research.

In 2000, the Boston Globe reported: “McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.”

Great move, Team Obama, making fun of a POW’s injuries. Is this that “change we can believe in” or just more indication of your lack of judgment.

We can never fight enough. The Leftist media can do a lot worse than they already have. We need to battle like we have never battled before. Forget all the October surprises lined up; forget a tie in Pennsylvania; forget a 5 point difference in New York. Forget about some asanine electoral spread on September 13th. These things happened in the past two weeks or less, and they can change in the next two days. The libs have now put Hair Plugs O-biden on the loose, the 527’s are about to kick in, and Palin may only be a brief bounce- not a convention bounce, but a two week bounce. Stop gloating. Get out there and expose the Obamist philosophy for what it is: collectivism, Marxism, anti-Americanism, pro-Ayers, pro-Salinsky, Stalinist. Fight like “300” against the hoards of the America-hating media and their volvo-driving automatons in the democratic party. FIGHT. FIGHT. FIGHT!!!! Take no comfort in a few polls in early September- The election is in November. The libs will mobilize as many dead and criminals as they need to win this. We MUST FIGHT THEM TOOTH AND NAIL TIL NOVEMBER 4TH AND LONGER IF NECESSARY!!!!

Speaking of Obama's campaign manager, David Axelrod, who was Michelle's PR man at the U of Chicago Hospital: it was he who helped her with her initiative to relieve the overcrowding of her ER by discouraging indigents from using it. She hired Axelrod to help revamp her idea so it would be more palettable and wouldn't appear so cold and ruthless. Where are Chicago's community organizers on this?

I am tired of hearing about McCain's campaign managers who are banking lobbiests, while Biden's own son is a D.C. lobbiest, and he's currently under investigation or worse.

I'm tired of no contrasts being made of the cold ruthlessness of Michelle Obama's own policy toward the indigents in Chicago to Cindy McCain's own 15 year charities which she established in Africa. Come on, RNC. Fight Back!

Obama campaign and the MSM

I think we should all agree to just refer to one or the other(MSM or campaign) to save time. I think it's universally understood that the media is the democratic party's public affairs office.

When you’re ahead it’s good to stay gracious; I think the proper tack would be to echo Qbama’s call to talk issues with another invite for debates, and a scheduling of three townhalls, with or without Qbama.

Need to hit back on:
* Obama’s ties to Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers, and the hedge fund creeps who support him overwhelmingly
* The Washington Times report proving McCain much, much more effective at working across the aisle than Obama
* Obama’s part ownership of the disgraceful Chicago housing project that the Boston Globe covered a couple of months ago

Also, have Meg Whitman do an ad on how the most productive economic course for America is hundreds, thousands more eBays. It means jobs, it means global revenues, it means efffectively exploiting IT (and answering the absurd charge that McCain is out of touch with the Internet Age).

Funny, you call me a fake (you're an absolute fool to think so)... yet, you're saying the same thing I've been saying for the longest time... That we need to strike back... the reason we've fallen behind is that we've allowed the enemy to get the momentum, by allowing these lies to go unchallenged... THe same reason I'm furious at Bush...

THAT's what I faulted McCain for, until Schmidt started hitting back hard... and he's falling into that trap again... My posts are public record... feel free to review them before you make such dumbass charges about me... For the most part, we're on the same page... I'm just not a ra-ra-ra, everything's fine kind of person... I started a thread yesterday that discussed concerns with trends, and sure enough, look at what happened today, with R/Z and CBS.
