Couric to Interview Gov. Palin Next Week

TVNewser has learned Katie Couric will interview Republican VP nominee Gov. Sarah Palin next week on the campaign trail, days before the first presidential debate.

We hear the interview will air on the CBS Evening News and on all CBS News platforms. It will also include something the previous two interviews did not — time with Sen. John McCain and Palin together.

Sarah can handle Katie. I think the more this happens the better it helps the McCain/Palin ticket.

I am sure DNC, moveon has sent in their questions to Katie on what she should ask, but since she and other hollywood elitist are members and chat daily their foolish beliefs, we can expect an all out war against Sarah.

Since the Charlie Gibson interview and SNL skit here favorable to non favoribles have slipped 17 pts. She should do the interviews, she actually MUST do the interviews but she will pay.

Katie is pretty light weight. She can’t come across too aggressive or it will hurt her.

Barbara WaWa would of course ask the stupid questions, as will a Larry King...(e.g. If you were a tree, what kind would it be?)

Katie will wear black for the occasion, and express deep unspoken sadness that Palin might actually win.

She'll try to trip her up, but she realize that she is in way over her perky head. Then she'll turn condescending, petulant and surly - her natural state.

Palin has to remember to smile throughout, because it will constrast nicely with Couric's snide bitterness, and it will infuriate Couric further.

They need to break out the 1992 tape of Perky Katie's ambush of George HW Bush during a TODAY White House tour interview with Barbara Bush ... and show it to Palin a few times to make sure it's absolutely clear how Couric operates.

You have hit the nail on the head. This is a brilliant strategy. Get Sarah in front of the most liberal media and all of the other media covers it. (One interview = coverage by all the networks.) The more she is attacked, the greater her appeal with average Americans.
