Jesus was a community organizer?

What is a community organizer? Barack Obama started out his career as a community organizer until he found out he could parlay the suffering and hardship of others into a lucrative profession.

From there he made contacts to support his political ambitions into a mediocre career in the Illinois state legislature. His political potential and political connections allowed Mr. Obama to “buy” a Chicago mansion. With no major achievements he became the pawn of the Chicago political machine and was elected into the U.S. Senate where again his mediocrity was parleyed into 1 keynote speech at the ’04 democrat convention and less than 2 years as a senator.

Each step of this community organizer has resulted in the benefit of himself.

Jesus never sought the betterment of others in order to benefit his own career or his own financial portfolio. Jesus never used his public service connections to buy a newer, bigger, better house. Jesus even commented, “the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nest, but the son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20 The only benefit Jesus ever had with his wealthy friends was to be buried in a rich man’s tomb.

Even though she never degraded community organizers, Sarah Palin likened being mayor of a small town as a community organizer with responsibility. She worked for the town and her co-citizens which she served; she applied for state office to battle corruption in the governor’s office. She never used her office to buy herself a mansion. She did not become wealthy as governor or organize a political machine to advocate her selection as vice presidential candidate. Governor Palin did not compare herself to Jesus. This humble servant instead compared herself to a pit bull with lipstick.

What did Pontius Pilate do?

· He enriched his political allies.

· He lived lavishly off the benefits of his political appointments.

· He served in mediocrity during his career.

· He raised taxes on those he served to enlarge and enrich the government that suppressed the common man

· He voted “present” at the trial of Jesus even though he found the charges against him as not valid.

· His political service included the approval of the murder of thousands of innocents (definitely not prolife!)

1Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged. 2The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe 3and went up to him again and again, saying, "Hail, king of the Jews!" And they struck him in the face.

4Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews, "Look, I am bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him." 5When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, "Here is the man!" 6As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, "Crucify! Crucify!" But Pilate answered, "You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him." 7The Jews insisted, "We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God."

8When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid, 9and he went back inside the palace. "Where do you come from?" he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10"Do you refuse to speak to me?" Pilate said. "Don't you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?"

11Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

12From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jews kept shouting, "If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar." 13When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge's seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha). 14It was the day of Preparation of Passover Week, about the sixth hour. "Here is your king," Pilate said to the Jews.

15But they shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!" "Shall I crucify your king?" Pilate asked. "We have no king but Caesar," the chief priests answered. 16Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.-Matthew 19:1-16

Which candidate should truly be compared to Pilate.

Obama was a MUCH better community organizer than Jesus.

Jesus? Never made a dime off of it. Always in hoc to everybody. Lived off free meals half the time. No business sense - raising people from the dead FOR FREE? What’s up with that?

Obama now. He made a six figure salary at it - and just look at the places he was a community organizer. Hardly any change at all. He coulda kept it going for years except the State senator job was a sweeter deal...

Obama beats Jesus cold as a community organizer. Obama turned it into a paying gig.

That Jesus.... what a piker.

Sure Jesus was a community organizer. Surely you remember how He agitated his disciples until they marched on the Roman governor's palace demanding equal rights, right? No? Oh. Neither do I.

That's the secret to success in careers like that. Never want to work yourself out of a job after all. Look at Jesse Jacksonnn.

Øbama was handing out loaves and fishes?

I think Øbama should become a faith healer after the election.

Wonder of wonder Chris Matthews really went after a congressman who referred to Jesus as a community organizer.

Matthews said Jesus was a carpenter. The congressman persisted until he acknowledged that he’d been criticized for the comparison and he apologized.

The tone of Matthews voice showed he was angry.

Obama's "community organizing" left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.

Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policy

About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.

Jesus came to die for people’s sins. He came to be crucified. He was also homeless. And, oh yeah, He wasn’t trying to be Caesar or POTUS.

Jesus’ kingdom was the Kingdom of Heaven. Caesar was none of His concern.

If Judea had held elections, would Jesus have organized the apostles to spread the word that his opponent was a “just another Herod”?
