If he couldn’t pass the bar exam, and was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review, then we know it was an Affirmative Action deal.
Here’s the thing about Barack. He is international, he is just black enough to be “black”, he is reasonably intellegent, and he knows how to give good BS. He makes stupid white liberals feel good about not being racist, even though he isn’t real on substance. The term “Empty Suit” so fits him, it’s amazing to me.

Illinois has the records on line.
What name did you use? I mean really it could be under Barry Smith for all we know.
The reality is that he does not to be a member of the bar to teach.
I think I heard though today that he never published a paper while teaching. What ever happen to publish or perish?

Generally, you can go to the state bar site where the attorney is supposed to be licensed in and enter a name through their member directory, but Illinois doesn't seem to have that option (I checked before posting). He's listed on martindale.com, but it doesn't say much. His ranking on Martindale is:
#4,366 out of 25,109 lawyers in Chicago, Illinois
#127,687 out of 893,079 total lawyers Overall

They say he practiced law with a “civil rights law firm.” He had to be a member of the bar to do that. If he passed the bar and is licensed, it has to be a matter of public record. Try the Illinois Supreme Court and the Attorney Disciplinary Board or whatever agency is responsible for policing attorneys in the state.
