Gingrich "bitch-Slaps" MSNBC's Allen Over Palin

An MSNBC Reporter tonight learned a very important lesson about political Journalism, you don't mess with Gingrich. Fresh from the evenings activities Gingrich was approached on the convention floor by MSNBC's Ron Allen who said to the former Speaker, "But to be fair, her resume is not something we're familiar seeing with presidential candidates."

This didn't sit well with Gingrich who strongly replied (video embedded above):

It's stronger than Barack Obama's. I don't know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama. She's been a real mayor, he hasn't. She has been a real governor, he hasn't. She's been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, he hasn't. She was a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor. He has never once shown that kind of courage. She's a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I've never seen Obama do one thing like that. She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him, and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don't know of a single thing Obama's done except talk and write.

Newt then challenged Allen:

I'd like you to tell me one thing Sen. Obama's done.

With that, Allen retreated, and said:

Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker. I'm going to leave it there. I'm not going to argue the case. Thanks very much.

Hmmm. Imagine that. I guess folks like Allen are only willing to argue the case when there's nobody playing the part of the defense attorney.

How convenient.

I'm heard that the MSM has called McCain and Palin asking for a “truce”. I also heard that McCain and Palin have rejected the MSM’s offer and will be blasting away shortly.

Newt is very articulate and quick thinking. He is too smart and informed to waste, we need his in office somewhere. Sec. of State, or U.N. or any office where his expertise is called into action. He is strong in faith. Yes, I know he fell, ... ;however tell me someone else in the congress or senate of any major office outside of George Bush that hasn’t.

It is time to forgive him.

I am not sure if I liked that part of PMSNBC’s coverage more than what followed with Andrea Mitchell when she interviewed Joe Lieberman. Andrea looked her cat had just died. It was obvious the PMS NBC’s talking points for the night were to have each correspondant ask about Sarah Palin and her ‘lack of experience’.

After Andrea asked Lieberman how he could have felt comfortable speaking at the Republican convention, she got right into Sarah Palin issue. Mitchell asked Lieberman why he was not upset that he had been passed over as VP because the right wing religous wing would not accept him. He replied with class and dignity and said he was honored to be considered and thought Palin was a good match for McCain because she was a reformer. Mitchell did not like that so kept asking questions, trying to get Joe to dump on Palin. He would not take the bait and kept reiterating that Palin was qualified for the job of VP. By the end of the interview, Andrea Mitchell looked totally beaten down, defeated, and out of questions.

It was great to watch. Hey MSNBC...don’t send a punk to do a man’s job. You can’t ambush Newt, he has actual intelligence.

Did you see John Voight last night? He basically told Alan to not interrupt while he was talking. Too funny.

While I’d like to see him as a Sec. of State, Bolton can do it as well, but nobody can be better than Newt as a RNC chairman. Long overdue...

That was so beautiful! Totally turned the tables on this “reporter”. Newt understands that these lib journalists are nothing more than Obama campaign workers, and he acts accordingly.

Did anyone catch Giuliani’s interview with Hannity and Colmes last night? Colmes asked him if this whole thing about Palin’s family wasn’t really about the deeper issue of proper vetting, and Giuliani turned to Colmes, looked directly at him, and just laughed to his face for about 30 seconds straight. When he quit laughing, Colmes reasked the very same question again, and Giuliani again laughed in his face, even longer.

The look on Colme’s face was priceless.

Love your tagline.

Thanks, but I must give credit to the one and only Thomas Sowell for coining that phrase.

Is it just me, or do I see Allen nodding in agreement while Gingrich is making these points?

Watch the video everyone.

why is it that every time I go to watch a political clip on YouTube it is “no longer available for viewing”?

Why is free speech and freedom of expression only reserved for the left-wing nuts?

Colmes looked like he spent most of last night looking into somebody’s cold shoulder. All the guests they had are pretty POed at him. Even the toe-sucker.

Thanks for posting the link. I put down my radio earphones moments before Newt took him down. When I put them back on it was the talk of the radio program. Like being the only one in the baseball stadium going to get beer during the Grand Slam.

Thank God for YouTube. That clip was fantastic. I think all delegates and potential spokespeople for McCain/Palin need to be equipped with the text of Newt’s response. It sure shut up the reporter.
