An estimated 750 to 1,000 Somali refugees are living in Emporia, a magnet because of jobs at the Tyson Foods meatpacking plant. Many have latent tuberculosis.

EMPORIA — When hundreds of Somali refugees began showing up to work at the meatpacking plant, nurses Lori Torres and Renee Hively were among the first to get to know the exotic, new arrivals."We got notified a day in advance that 70 Somalis were being transferred from a (Tyson Foods) plant in Nebraska," Hively recalled. "That 70 soon grew into 400, seemingly overnight."...Torres is the case manager for about 160 Somalis in Emporia who have been diagnosed with latent tuberculosis....
Section 212(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states that aliens with specific health-related conditions are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible for admission into the United States. The Attorney General may waive application of this inadmissibility on health-related grounds if an application for waiver is filed and approved by the consular office considering the application for a visa. The Division of Migration and Quarantine, NCID uses this application primarily to collect information to establish and maintain records of waiver applicants in order to notify the Immigration and Naturalization Service when terms, conditions and controls imposed by waiver are not met. An article posted Nov. 3 on the Emporia Gazette Web site about a state grant to Catholic Community Services to help the Somalis settling in Emporia drew scores of angry, anonymous reader reactions, including this one:
"Emporia is going to be its own 3rd world country before long because of all the damn, bleeding hearts."
"They came post 9/11. They're black and they're Muslim," Hively said, describing some of the hostility demonstrated toward the Somalis. "Emporia didn't have many black people before. This is a small town."

I stopped buying Tyson products a while ago. Although I’m sure I end up with some of their crap time to time. Horrible company, tasteless products, and no ethics.
But if I want to turn $1000 into $100,000 I’ll be sure to give them a call.
Having those Somali workers here causes even more problems than staffing plants with illegal Mexicans. The worst thing about it is those Somalis are technically “legal,” so they can’t be deported.
Why are the uneducated and ignorant put on the fast track to immigration, while honest, hard-working, college-educated immigrants have to wait in long lines?
I recall them being a not so big chicken processor from ARKANSAS. They grew very large during the Clinton years.

So, Tyson has brought us:
1. the Clintoons;
2. Some Jihad holiday for workers (presumably arabs replacing illegal Mexicans)
3. illegal Mexicans; and
4. TB

The Mexican illegals tend to be the extremely poor. Most are hard working but lack significant education. A large number are also criminals. Then there are the typical health problems associated with being dirt poor in a 3rd world country.
Somalia is nothing but anarchy so I cannot see bringing in anyone from that pest hole is a good idea. Let alone the violent muslims that are killing anyone they can there.
Our country has been bought by the Saudi’s, Qatar, and UAE oil czars. Thats the only reason this kinda stuff would be happening.
OOoohh! I know! I know! Because poor, uneducated people are more likely to become consistent reliable democrat party voters than law-abiding folks with a good education????
So Tyson and those like Tyson can put them to work paying them $0.50/hr.
I haven’t bought Tyson foods since they were never held responsible for importing illegals.
They have TB and they are working with FOOD?
I don’t normally buy Tyson, but I have been avoiding them since Clinton was president.
It is my understanding that Hillary R. Clinton’s family, the Rodhams, either owns Tyson or has a majority hold on the company. Never again will I buy any chicken packaged by Tyson.
This country is getting too populated with the wrong kind. We don’t need no huddled masses no mo.
