The Ramones are in the top ten. Didn't know much about them until I saw the end of the century recently.
They brought rock back in the 70's and started the punk movement. A shame they never achieved the success they wanted.

Absolutely.
Spin magazine listed The Ramones as the number 2 all-time greatest band, behind only The Beatles.
I can’t argue with that.
They were THAT great.
